BUSH BATHS
So, ladies, this treatment is far from new! The following are so-called aphrodisiacal used herbal “steam baths” taken by the Maroon women in Suriname. (In the USA it is called ‘V-steaming’). Herbs used in these steam baths are added to a pail with piping hot water. The women then sit, naked from the waist down, over the vapor ascending from the hot brew.
After the water has cooled off the lower parts of the women may further be washed with that water.These herbal steam baths are taken daily and are effective in strengthening the vaginal walls and tightening the vaginal orifice. Vaginal hygiene is also fostered by these steam baths. It is recommended that a bather use and stick to just one kind of herb (mixture) for a considerable period of time, and so not keep changing different herbs everytime she takes a steam bath.The women themselves gave the names of the herbs mentioned below. So there are no scientific and/or Latin(ized) names available for these herbs. It is also well to say that these herbs are not truly aphrodisiac herbs, but more like something used in their toiletry when they “are going to meet their man”
Sukutrobi (literally: looking for trouble). The men gave the herb its name. After having sex once with the woman whom had steam bathed her lower body region with it, he craves for more. This puts the woman in a position to tease him to the point that may end in real trouble. Hence the name.
The steam baths we offer are a mix of herbs, harvested from the Amazone Rainforest, the Upper Suriname River (about 300 km from Paramaribo). They are treated with care, washed and disinfect, than de-hydrated, so the oils and effective agents become available the moment they are soaked in hot water. Because women’s lower body part is very sensitive, please do not start with daily use of the baths.
One large sachet can be used 3 times, but we also have sachets for only 1 time. Sv achets of 50 gram and 25 gram available. After using the large sachet, please drip dry and keep it in a dry area.
CAUTION: In case irritation (aching) may occur, stop using the baths, do not use soap and wear cotton underwear during period of irritation.
